How are you using Krypton?

Feb 15, 2011 at 1:12 AM

I'd really like to know how you guys are using Krypton, and maybe see some pictures. :)

Who's up for it?

Feb 15, 2011 at 7:17 AM

Aww, would love to, but I need to keep things close to my chest for now ;)

Besides which, it's all just placeholder art while I set up some sort of engine... as soon as I'm ready to show stuff off, you'll know :D

I'm close to a pre-alpha release, as soon as I have it, I'll post a video :)

Feb 17, 2011 at 11:12 PM

Any game where stuff goes "Boom" is awesome in my book.

Feb 25, 2011 at 4:10 PM

Hehe, and you haven't seen the "Bang" and "Crash" :P

Awesome work, adman :)

That level select system is really cool.

Thanks for your post!

Hi there!

I have a very pre-release alpha version of my game if someone wants to try. Just go here, download and tell me what you think :)

Known issues:

- The third level is a level created to test most of the features, so the design is a little a mess.

- Gamepad support is not fully completed, in any case if sometone wants to try it, would be great.

Whew! Finally in a position to talk about it. Introducing The Swindle, a steampunk cybercrime caper.

You can see Krypton at work in a few places in those screenshots.

First, let me say I just realized you are thezombiecow from The Zombie Cow: I loved Ben There Dan That :D

Now I've said that, The Swindle looks awesome, hope to see it released soon.

There's not much to look at yet, but since I've got most of the lights in (still need to implement the particles and lights for explosions) I figured I'd stick an early prototype screenshot or two up here.

Much of the game revolves around the player collecting various tetris-shaped "spell-components"  and creating their own spells.  The spell in the first picture contains only the components for the shape (projectile) and impact (harm).  In the second, I've added an elemental component for fire.  Loving the engine so far guys, thanks, and keep up the good work!

[EDIT]:  And now with explosions and an actual HUD :P

That looks awesome! Can't wait to see some videos of those explosions!

Here's a video of the project I'm currently working on.

It's a 2D top-down multiplayer shooter, and it's still pretty much unfinished. But it's getting good progress for a game I'm doing in my spare time. :)

I released my second Krypton-wielding game in November, but thought I'd drop a note.  Better late than never.

Hidden in Plain Sight -- Preview

It doesn't make real heavy use of lighting and shadows, but still thought I'd include it here.

I'm having an awful flu, and got bored sitting around at home, so I decided to start a game project.

I decided to use Krypton, and this is what I've got at the moment, after three days of work:

It was quite funky to implement Krypton with this kind of camera view, but in the end, I think it works quite nicely. :)

Mar 22, 2012 at 2:34 AM

That looks super cool. I like it. :)

Apr 12, 2012 at 7:50 PM

I'm creating a Krypton facebook page (KryptonXna). If you're okay with me, or would really love me to, post your screenshots (and links, no worries) of your game, I'd be more than happy to.

Anyone okay with me doing this?

Apr 13, 2012 at 6:31 AM

I'll try to make a nice screenshot with my sun, kina 'coming up' over the land so you see the shadows :) People ought to know that these subtle things are also possible and it's not all flashlights and fire :D (Light for fire I also got in my game :) (Every frame random intensity and random range :D)

First have to fix my camera though...

Jun 22, 2012 at 9:15 PM

Hi, lot of changes since the last screenshot, so here's a video. Krypton is really awesome.

Jul 7, 2012 at 2:52 PM

Here is my game, with a lot of changes since my last video.
