I messed up, the setting was there all along, removing most of this as it was a failed experiment.

Also I am pulling hairs out at getting it to translate nicely to pixels... I've tried all the matrices and settings I can find and it won't work.
I'm not currently using a Camera so I'm just passing 0s in for location, 1s in for zoom and 0 in for rotation.
Currently doing:
Matrix transform =
 Matrix.CreateTranslation(new Vector3(0, 0, 0)) *
 Matrix.CreateRotationZ(0f) *
 Matrix.CreateScale(new Vector3(1, 1, 1)) *
 Matrix.CreateTranslation(new Vector3(viewportWidth * .5f, viewportHeight * .5f, 0));

this.kryptonEngine.Matrix = transform;
this.kryptonEngine.SpriteBatchCompatablityEnabled = true;
this.kryptonEngine.CullMode = CullMode.None;
this.kryptonEngine.Game.GraphicsDevice.RasterizerState = RasterizerState.CullNone;
this.kryptonEngine.Bluriness = 4;
this.kryptonEngine.LightMapPrepare();
this.kryptonEngine.Draw(gameTime());
