Krypton XNA is a 2-dimensional light and shadow engine built upon Microsoft’s XNA Framework. Unlike conventional 2d lighting and shadow engines, Krypton prides itself on being fast and efficient by offloading shadow generation and rendering to the GPU, rather than using the CPU. This tradeoff allows users (developers) to utilize the CPU for more game-like computation, such as physics or NPC logic.
